Happy Mother’s Day to all! Time to put our act together and give that great moment to our dear mum. Mother does not mean biological only. In some circumstances, anyone who looks after children is a mother; Aunties, Uncles, Single dads and even older siblings can turn out to be one. In the world where technology can reach the remotest part of every continent, it is easy enough to greet at least and say that sweet word__I love you, mum. Indeed, I am one of the luckiest beings that at my age, my mum is around. I can take her out to lunch and spoil__ to thank her for giving me life who carried me for many months and cared for me for plenty of moons without sleep whenever I get grumpy or just wanted to play in the middle of the night. Through the years, my Nanay has been with my ups and more so when I was down. No other being can match the love of our mothers. When I became a mum, I never thought how hard it would be; not taught at school. Being a mother is over and above the round-the clock duty; it is way more than that. Utterly, mothers are institution; the life-long endeavour that they give to their children; incredibly remarkable. I dedicate this poetry to my beloved mother Tess and all the mums. May we have a blessed and spectacular day! We deserve it!
Today is Father’s Day in Australia. HAPPY FATHER’S DAY! Dad does not necessarily apply only to the natural parents. It also applies to the mothers, uncles, brothers and sisters who look after a child in the absence of the biological father for all sorts of reason. Many years ago, the heaven called my dad. I can still recall the saddest moment in my life when I held my father in my arms for the very last time. My dad’s name is Victorio, and many people fondly called him Victor. But, my mother called him Ling. When I was young, I did not have any idea what was the meaning of Ling. I later found out that it meant darling. The great memories of my father, I will cherish and treasure. I can clearly recollect how he taught me; counting my fingers and my toes. He was the first one to teach me how to write my name whilst my mother sat beside watching my fingers moving. My parents were loving and kind. And they were always together; going out of the house to go to work; going to church, cinema, vacation and the lot. It was a big blow to my mum when dad got sick and eventually did not recover. However, as the days passed, it was me who actually could not move forward about the passing of my father. And mum, thoroughly was aware of it. That was the time that she told me to be strong. That when a person is already in heaven, you want him to rest in peace. And my dad will watch over the family and me.

I learn to read; I acquire my knowledge of writing.
Victory is the meaning of your name.
Conquistador of my worries ever since.
Since I was born, you are my mentor;
The natural procreate, so kind and loving.
As I pass my path of youth;
You have been there to cheer my blessings.
There are times I lose my bearings;
You lift me up as high as heaven.
I do remember we have lots of avarice;
And one of them is giving me total devotion.
With all your patience, I accomplish my undertakings.
No other love can match you, dad;
No other man will treat me like a princess;
For you are one, and only kind.
I am here now because of your sincereness.
My life on earth is filled with flair and sparkles.
Our marvellous chronicles are in my heart;
I keep them in my chest of treasures,
So, nobody else can steal that richness.
With no silhouette of qualm and disbelief;
This very minutes, you are smiling.
With all aglow, you blow a kiss from stars above,
To your daughter who loves you so.
With your kindness and perseverance;
I am a happy being and happy soul.
With total warmth and dedication;
HAPPY FATHER’S DAY TO MY LOVING DAD!
I know, and I feel that you are here watching;
And saying, thank you my dearest daughter,
For the warm greetings!

The reverie of my youth is a splendid realm;
myth like — a saga in Wonderland;
with the fairies all around.
The euphoric twinkling as I promenade the
byway; with my mother all triumphal
as I walk — with such flare.
She is shouting with joy as I do my first few
steps; crying with tears of glee when
I continue to paddle my glare.
When I talk, she patiently listens to my
stuttering voice, so to tell, that is so!
Mama graciously — corrected
each phrase with the leer. One sunny day,
the laughter of my mum dominates
in the air; when she sees me
eating with the kitten in my room very dear.
As I feed the creature in my own
little hands; mama gladly
whispers, you are the kitten’s mummy just like me.
As I move to my path; my mother is there all
along. In my lows, she will
console me with such grace and poise. When I
triumph, she celebrates and regards all
my blessing from High Above.
My mother is such a star that will outdo all the
Hollywood stars. The constellation will agree
without a doubt.
Mama, I adore you with all my totality.
Heart – soul – spirit; shout from the core;
I will love you — forever and

The Angels and the seraphs are passing by
With my Tatay carrying roses to greet me hi!
To see his handsome face makes me cry.
Tears of joy and jovial moments to see him smile.
His presence makes my heart jumps so high;
The memories of him is all that I have now.
The bond that we shared cannot be erased by anyone;
I carry him in my heart every day through all this time.
He was called to heaven a long time ago;
For his mission on earth is polished and done –
To nurture me and my siblings in this world of ours –
Tatay, you are the best –
Your soul is untarnished and pure.
My dearest Tatay, I love you so!
You have given me the greatest in life and you did so!
Happy Father’s Day to you and your mates up there!
Have an awesome day with the Almighty in heaven…
I Thank you and salute you for all your great deeds here on earth!

The moment of waiting jumps my soul with excite!
My spirit elevates right through in the sky.
I am going to meet the human being;
that comes from my vine.
The beautiful girl with diamond in her heart;
I named her Victoria so charming and grand.
The tenderly feeling as she smiles back with shine.
The little fingers I hold with care as I proclaim;
I LOVE YOU MY BABY GIRL!
The love both awaits us in the world that is bless.
My daughter Victoria is the very best!
MY HEART TO YOUR HEART,
MY SWEET CHILD.
DO YOU EXIST?

The muscle – anatomy of a young man;
confuses my unnerving mind,
of your wits; my veins swirl to its vine.
The Adonis of my dream is
charming as a prince;
tickles the molecule of my spine; mental
torture to my system align.
Alarming echo of divine;
Oh my Adonis! Fetching and burly; do you
exist? In the reality of my life; in the
reality of the metaphor
of the day; forever I long to intwine with your
soul. The heavenly love from spirit calls;
as pure as silk of clouds in the
sky way up high. The moon; the starlight appears
when the sun gives the way; to have me in your
arms; forever and more.
The extinction of subsistence on earth outshines.
